A space to work well, and a lab to learn what works.
Two sides, one purpose.
LeanUP is a Ružomberok-based company with two sides under one roof. On one side, a coworking and co-creation space designed for focused, independent work — room to think, meet and build without the friction of a noisy office. On the other, a training lab that turns applied research into practical, hands-on learning.
The two sides feed each other. The space gives us a living professional community — freelancers, teams, entrepreneurs and public bodies — and the lab uses that real setting to design, test and refine the way people learn. Methods are tried in practice before they scale, so what we teach stays grounded in what actually works.
We sit deliberately between academia and everyday work: close enough to research to keep our methods rigorous, close enough to real organisations to keep them useful. A small company with the care of a specialist and the reach of an EU partner.
The space and the lab.
How we work.
Piloted before it scales
We run new material with a real group in our own space, refine it from structured feedback, and only then roll it out. What we teach is tested in practice first.
Learning by doing
We go well beyond slides: learner-centred sessions built on game mechanics, simulations, case studies and project work, so each idea is applied as it’s learned and it sticks.

Rigorous and accountable

The people behind LeanUP.
A small team that pairs teaching craft with operational rigour.
Patrícia leads the teaching side of LeanUP. A university lecturer and a specialist in game-based and experiential learning, she turns formal research into practical, engaging training — the pedagogy behind every LeanUP programme.
Federico runs LeanUP’s operations and partnerships and keeps delivery on track. With experience across more than 100 EU-funded projects, he brings the compliance, reporting and coordination that international cooperation demands, so partners can rely on things being done properly and on time.
Vitalii keeps the numbers straight. With over eight years in corporate finance and compliance, he leads budgeting, financial reporting and process automation, so the business — and every project — stays audit-ready.
A calm base at the heart of Slovakia.
A calm town at the heart of Slovakia’s Liptov region — unhurried enough to focus, yet superbly placed for everything worth seeing around it.
Space to think
Ružomberok moves at a calmer pace than a capital — no gridlock, no rush — so participants can step back, recharge and give the training their full attention.
Perfectly placed
At the centre of the Liptov region: Tatra mountains, ski resorts, castles and thermal spas within easy reach, with genuine Slovak folk culture and warm hospitality all around.
